Safer at Home
Yesterday, Governor Evers and Secretary-designee Palm announced an updated Safer at Home order, which would be issued by Secretary-designee Palm and take effect from April 24th until May 26th. Schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, under the order.
As we continue to be Safer at Home, we must also support businesses and employees in innovative ways that will not sacrifice our progress in fighting the spread of COVID-19. I am watching carefully the health care capacity, widespread testing, contact tracing, and isolation capacity in the state, and the availability of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers, first responders, and other frontline workers. The lives and livelihoods of my constituents remains my number one priority.

Department of Children & Families
As Wisconsin keeps physically healthy by staying Safer at Home due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, children have fewer interactions with many of the professionals trained to observe and mandated to report suspected child abuse. It is critical now, more than ever, for families, friends, and neighbors to be aware of the signs of child abuse and neglect and to know how to report those signs to their local child welfare agencies.
