Governor Evers Signs his Maps

Wisconsin Supreme Court case should end

Madison - Representative Tom Michalski (R-Elm Grove) released a statement regarding Governor Evers signing his own maps. 

“I voted to help end the uncertainty the Wisconsin State Supreme Court created by forcing a redraw of the legislative maps.  Republicans voted for the least gerrymandered map- one that automatically results in 11 Republican Representatives losing their jobs and a singular Democrat.  Despite this, only one Democrat in the Assembly voted for these maps drawn by the Governor, and Democrats around me like Representative Vining were among those who voted against Evers’ maps”. 

“I’m grateful these decisions have finally been made, and that we can move forward with the election process”.
