Friends and Neighbors,
As I mentioned in my last full newsletter installment, this is the last e-update you will be receiving from me until November. This being an election year, I am prohibited by law to send more than 49 substantially similar pieces of mail after April 15. That said, please continue to contact me with questions, comments and concerns, and I will gladly provide legislative updates on a case-by-case basis. I will also be keeping my Facebook page up to date, which is a great resource for timely updates.
Best Wishes, Jill Billings State Representative 95th Assembly District

Research in the Rotunda On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to hear from a number of UW-L students who came to the Capitol to present their research to legislators and staff. The students' work ranged from archeology and new approaches to treating Alzheimer's, to using drones to study the effects of climate changes and methods of decreasing academic achievement gaps. I am always so impressed with how smart and professional UW-L students are. Thank you for sharing your research!

Changes relating to fishing and wildlife management in Wisconsin were proposed and voted on by all 72 counties. Some of the issues that La Crosse County voted yes on that were also voted yes by statewide consensus were:
A template and instructions for submitting a resolution are also available on the DNR website. |
