Representative Gae Magnafici Announces First Responder of the Year Award 2023

[Dresser, Wisconsin, 09/05/2023] — Representative Gae Magnafici is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the First Responder of the Year Award 2023. This esteemed recognition aims to celebrate the valor, commitment, and indispensable services of first responders in the 28th Assembly District. The ceremony will take place during a special assembly floor session on October 17, 2023.

 

Honoring Unsung Heroes

First responders are often the first on the scene, making split-second decisions that save lives and safeguard communities. This award provides a platform to express heartfelt gratitude and to recognize the unsung heroes in the district, encompassing police and sheriff officers, firefighters (both paid and volunteer), and EMS personnel (paramedics, EMTs, and volunteer first responders).

 

Criteria for Nomination

Nominations can be submitted based on a variety of considerations, such as:

 

  • A specific act of heroism
  • Significant professional achievement
  • Cumulative service over time
  • Exceptional community service related to the nominee’s role
  • Length of service

 

How to Nominate

Residents of the district are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals for this honor. First responders may also nominate themselves or their peers. To submit a nomination, please visit mailchi.mp/legis/nominate-a-hero.

 

The deadline for nominations is September 29, 2023. A distinguished recipient will be selected by Representative Magnafici’s office by October 2, 2023.
