Joint Committee on Finance Virtual Budget Public Hearing
Wednesday, April 28, 2021
Overview for Registered Attendees
The public hearing will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. The Zoom Conference will open at 9:30 AM to ensure that everyone joins by the start time. Your place in the queue will be determined by your registration order.
Please do not forward the hearing link. This is a unique link that is tied to your registration. Members of the public who are not registered are welcome to follow along on WisconsinEye.
A list with the order of testifiers will be posted in the Zoom chat at the beginning of the hearing. The Committee anticipates it will be able to hear from about 25 people per hour.
If you are not in the Zoom conference when it is your turn, we will move to the next speaker. If there is time at the end of the hearing, the Committee will try to come back to you, but it is not guaranteed.
Your Turn to Speak
When you join the Zoom conference, you will be an audience "attendee". You will be able to see and hear the speaker, but will not be able to speak or participate in the meeting.
When it is your turn to speak, you will be promoted to a “panelist”. This will be initiated by the Committee clerk and will allow you to speak to the Committee. This action will take a few seconds to load.
Once you are a “panelist” you must unmute yourself and start your video (optional) to provide your testimony to the Committee.
Each speaker will have two (2) minutes to testify. A timer will be visible for you to keep track of your time. At the end of your two minutes, you will be returned to the audience. At this point you are free to leave the hearing.
