Shilling Praises Family of Fallen Heroes Bill Signed into Law

MADISON – Bipartisan legislation to ensure surviving spouses and children of fallen state and local law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS first responders continue to receive healthcare insurance following the loss of a loved one in the line of duty was signed into law by Governor Tony Evers. Having voted in favor of this proposal in the Senate, Senator Shilling released the following statement:

“Our police officers, fire fighters, and EMS first responders work tirelessly and put their lives on the line every day to keep our families and communities safe. We must always remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and ensure that their families have health insurance during these tragic times. I was proud to support this bipartisan bill and thank Governor Evers for swiftly signing this into law.”
