Sen. Shilling releases Public Service Announcement on ACA open enrollment
LA CROSEE, WI – Open enrollment for health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has now begun. As of November 1st, Wisconsin residents and families can apply for a 2020 health plan, renew their current plan or pick a new plan through the ACA’s Health Insurance Marketplace. In an effort to expand access to affordable health care coverage, Senator Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) is encouraging local residents who are uninsured or in need of affordable coverage to visit healthcare.gov and learn more about their health coverage options.

As of November 1st, Wisconsin residents can visit the healthcare.gov website to compare insurance plans and sign up for affordable coverage. Go online now to explore your health insurance options before open enrollment ends on December 15th. Get covered, visit healthcare.gov today!”
As of 2019, 205,118 Wisconsinites signed up for health coverage on the federal marketplace and 86% percent of enrollees qualified for premium subsidies.
