Sen. Risser appointed to serve on Educational Communications Board
MADISON – Senator Fred Risser (D-Madison) has been appointed to serve on the Educational Communications Board (ECB) Board of Directors by Senate Democratic Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse). The ECB is a state agency responsible for distributing K-12 educational media, public safety alerts and public broadcasting services to Wisconsin’s citizens. The ECB Board of Directors oversees efforts to improve telecommunication services across Wisconsin and leverage technology to enhance education opportunities.
“Sen. Risser is an outspoken advocate for public broadcasting and brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the ECB Board,” said Sen. Shilling. “At a time when our schools and communities are facing difficult new challenges, Sen. Risser’s commitment to education opportunities and support for public infrastructure will be an asset to the ECB Board and its mission.”
