Madison – State Senator Jon Erpenbach was sworn in today for the one hundred and second session of the Wisconsin State Senate in the State Capitol. Senator Erpenbach will again serve the 27th Senate District which now includes portions of Columbia, Dane, Green, Iowa and Sauk Counties.
“It was an honor to be re-elected to serve the people of the 27th Senate District and I look forward to a busy session. With a budget deficit of $2.2 billion, getting our fiscal house in order will be the highest priority. In addition, providing a balanced perspective is important as one party controls the Wisconsin Legislature and the Executive branch; all of the people of this state deserve representation and I will do my best to provide practical leadership wherever I can,” said Erpenbach.
This session Senator Erpenbach has been appointed to the Joint Committee on Finance, the Legislative state budget writing committee. He will also serve on the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism and as the ranking member of the Joint Committee on Retirement Systems.
