Sen. Shilling named a 2016 "Friend of Housing"
MADISON – Construction workers and small business owners recently gathered in the state capital for the Wisconsin Builders Association's (WBA) annual Business Day. In addition to meeting with legislators to discuss issues important to the construction industry, WBA members presented Sen. Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse) with a 2016 "Friend of Housing” award.
"So much of our economic growth and the success of local communities is tied to our construction industry," said Sen. Shilling. "I’ve been proud to stand up for Wisconsin workers and advance positive, pro-growth policies that are helping create jobs and boost local manufacturing. I appreciate the support of the WBA and the thousands of Wisconsin workers and small businesses owners they represent."
The WBA is a professional trade association representing over 4,000 members from the Wisconsin housing and construction industry. The association’s role is “to drive sound housing policy resulting in affordable, innovative, and environmentally conscious homes accessible to all.”
