Senator Kapenga Sworn in for Third Term
Madison, WI — Senator Chris Kapenga (R-Delafield) released the following statement today after being sworn in for his third term in the Senate:
“It is my privilege to be elected as senator. As we begin this new year, I am excited to advocate for transformational policies that will make Wisconsin the place we all want to live and raise a family in. In addition, I remain dedicated to protecting the core tenets of our Constitution, limited government, and free market principles.
“This also begins my second legislative session as senate president, and I look forward to presiding over spirited debate in the Senate. It is my desire to serve my colleagues to the best of my abilities and carry out the will of the Senate.
“Thank you to the voters of the 33rd Senate District for entrusting me to work on their behalf.”

He was recently reelected as Senate President. In addition, Senator Kapenga will serve as co-chair on the Joint Committee on Employment Relations, Joint Committee on Legislative Organization, and Joint Legislative Council as well as the vice-chair on the Committee on Senate Organization.
