Welcome to my e-update!

My name is Brad Pfaff, and I am proud to represent you as State Senator for the 32nd District in the Wisconsin State Senate.

Our district includes La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, and southern Monroe County.

In January, I took an oath at the State Capitol and made a promise to work hard for the people of Western Wisconsin. I fully intend to keep my promise and show up every day for the 32nd District.

Now that we're in budget season, I am hosting virtual listening sessions on a variety of topics, meeting with constituents, business owners, and community leaders so that I can best represent us in Madison.

This newsletter helps me keep in touch with all of you and provide updates on what's happening around the district and in the State Capitol.

Around the District

I was pleased to welcome Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes to La Crosse for a visit to the MTU facility to get the low-down on our new fleet of environmentally-friendly busses and discuss the biennial budget.

Kwik Trip, Hy-Vee, CVS rally with government agencies to get French Islanders safe water

In my column with Rep. Billings on PFAS contamination, we talked about putting our heads together and solving this problem as a community, as we’ve always done so well.
Collaboration is how we’ll continue to get through this.

Federal COVID-19 relief money to move up several area road, bridge projects

Infrastructure connects us, creates jobs, and stimulates our economy. Several Crawford and Vernon County state road projects are included in the latest COVID relief program.

State Sen. Brad Pfaff addresses goals on bettering transportation in the La Crosse area

Our district is diverse—so we need to meet the diverse needs of the people living here. Whether you live in La Crosse or rural Crawford County, you should have transportation options that work for you.

Tony Evers signs bill aimed at lowering prescription drug prices in Wisconsin

It's a good day in the Wisconsin State Legislature when we can cut through the partisan politics and get things done for the people of Wisconsin. I am glad we were able to work together and lower prescription drug costs.

Farmland Preservation Grants

Both the Senate and Assembly Agriculture committees have advanced important bills to protect our farmlands. Strong bipartisan bills like these are good for farmers and rural communities.

My Recent Columns

Getting to Work and Building Back Better

My philosophy has always been that when you give people the tools they need to succeed, they will take it from there. And although we can't predict what's in store for us after we beat COVID, we can lay the groundwork to build a better Wisconsin for working people, their families, and the communities we call home.

Prioritizing State Response to PFAS

“It’s time for us to step up, put our heads together, and solve this issue as a community, as we have always done so well.” Jill Billings and I wrote a column on PFAS as well as the proposals at the state and federal level to clean them up.

COVID-19 Update

All Wisconsinites ages 16+ are eligible for the Coronavirus vaccine. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel—I encourage everyone to get their shots, stay healthy, and do their part to protect our community.

If you’re looking to get vaccinated, you can visit the Department of Health Services website to schedule your first vaccine—signing up is easy and takes less than 5 minutes.
