Welcome to my e-update!

My name is Brad Pfaff, and I am proud to represent you as State Senator for the 32nd District in the Wisconsin State Senate.

Our district includes La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, and southern Monroe County.

In January, I took an oath at the State Capitol and made a promise to work hard for the people of Western Wisconsin. I fully intend to keep my promise and show up every day for the 32nd District.

This newsletter helps me keep in touch with all of you and provides updates on what's happening around the district and in the State Capitol.

Around the District

NEW COLUMN: Getting to Work and Building Back Better

Labor Day is a good reminder that our workers stand ready to lay the groundwork to build a better Wisconsin for their families and the communities we all call home. My philosophy has always been that when you give people the tools they need to succeed, they will take it from there.

UW-La Crosse still #1 in the state according to new report

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse remains the number one public university in Wisconsin, an honor the school has held for 21 years.

UWL attracts top talent from around the state and world to offer a best-in-class education, and they make our community incredibly proud.

Congrats to the faculty, staff, and students that make the University excel!

164th Vernon County Fair starting tomorrow

After a challenging year, families, area farmers, local vendors, and young 4Hers will once again gather for the 164th Vernon County Fair—one of the longest-running in the state.

I'm looking forward to seeing this year's ribbon winners!

Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien celebrates 150 years

Villa Louis has been at the heart of so many community gatherings over the years and helps visitors travel back in time to the 19th century through a variety of educational programs, excellent exhibits, and historical reenactments.

I’m honored to present Villa Louis with a citation this evening in celebration of their 150th Anniversary.

Capitol Update

Pushing for Farmland Preservation Modernization

Wisconsin needs farmers, and farmers need healthy soil for productive farming.

Revitalizing the Farmland Preservation Program is essential because it rewards good stewardship and provides communities with the tools to preserve our farmlands for the future.

Senate Scholar Program Now Accepting Applications

The Senate Scholar program is a great opportunity for motivated students to learn more about state government!

Civic-minded students and young leaders between the ages of 16-18 should apply for this weeklong program in Madison before November 1st to be considered.

COVID-19 Update

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing returns to La Crosse

The La Crosse County Health Department will be providing free drive-thru PCR COVID-19 tests every Monday until December 13th. Testing is in the parking lot of the Health and Human Services Building at 300 4th St North.

Local Guidelines

I encourage everyone to continue observing municipal safety guidelines for COVID-19. Breakthrough cases of the Delta Variant are increasing, and we want to make sure our friends and neighbors are protected.

If you’re not sure what your local health officials are advising, you can call your county health department or visit their website.
