Welcome to my e-update!

My name is Brad Pfaff, and I am proud to represent you as State Senator for the 32nd District in the Wisconsin State Senate.

Our district includes La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, and southern Monroe County.

In January, I took an oath at the State Capitol and made a promise to work hard for the people of Western Wisconsin. I fully intend to keep my promise and show up every day for the 32nd District.

This newsletter helps me keep in touch with all of you and provides updates on what's happening around the district and in the State Capitol.

Around the District

Farmer Roundtable & Visit with U.S. Trade Rep. Katherine Tai

Last month, I spent a day with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Rep. Ron Kind. We held a round table on the Servais Farm about how international trade and markets impact family farming in Wisconsin and toured Organic Valley later in the afternoon.

U.S. Trade Rep. Tai’s visit demonstrates that our western Wisconsin family farms not only add value to the local economy but the global marketplace as well.

Wisconsin Great River Road Celebration

It was an extraordinary honor to join other state and local leaders at the dedication of Wisconsin's Great River Road as an "All-American Road," the same status as Route 66 and Big Sur Coast Highway.

The Mississippi River is one of Wisconsin’s greatest wonders. It has played a role in creating communities, served as a vital interstate commerce route, and attracted people from all across the world for centuries. A one of a kind destination that puts our area on the map as a place to be.

Capitol Update

Governor Evers Signs Biennial Budget

When I ran for State Senate, I pledged to lead with common sense values and advocate for hard-working families in western Wisconsin. I support Governor Evers' decision to sign the biennial budget because it’s a bipartisan step forward for our state.

This budget expands broadband, invests in long-term care, provides two-thirds funding for K-12 schools, and delivers tax relief to middle class families so that we can bounce back from this pandemic together.

Buy American Package

Creating jobs to grow Wisconsin's middle class is crucial for our economic recovery, that's why I introduced the “Buy American” bill package in the Wisconsin State Senate. This legislation ensures that our state government promotes American and Wisconsin job creation by prioritizing the purchase of products made in our country and our state.

Task Force on Broadband Access

Since January, I have served on the Governor’s Taskforce on Broadband Access. We recently released our report which details strategies for successfully expanding high-speed internet access to every residence, business, and institution in the state by 2025. Onward and Upward: State budget makes a down payment on Wisconsin’s future

I was proud to stand alongside Gov. Tony Evers as he signed our state budget. I’m pleased to report that we delivered the largest tax cut for middle class families in state history — $2 billion will stay in taxpayers’ pockets over the next two years.
