Constituent Services

Whether you are interested in a tour of your state capitol or would like more information about a particular program funded and maintained by the state government, I encourage you to contact my office. My staff and I are always more than happy to provide assistance while addressing your needs, whatever they may be.

State Programs/Agency Contacts

Navigating the myriad state agencies and government contacts can be a daunting task without a good guide. If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, please contact my office. My staff and I would be happy to assist you. You can also check the list of state agencies and what they have to offer by visiting this directory

Blue Books/How a Bill Becomes a Law

State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through my office and the Assembly Chief Clerk's website. If you are interested in either of these items, please send me an e-mail with your name and address or call my office to request one.

A PDF copy of How a Bill Becomes a Law is available here.

Legislative Citations and Plaques

An official citation from the state legislature is a wonderful way to recognize an outstanding achievement. The legislature regularly issues citations honoring people who have become Eagle Scouts, received the Girl Scout Gold Award, retired after a long career, proudly served in the Armed Forces, and many other notable accomplishments.

Fill out my Citation Request form under the "Contact" tab to request one.

Travel Wisconsin Guides

I am reminded each and every day how fortunate I am to live in a state like Wisconsin. If you are looking to travel around our state in search of recreation, natural beauty, fine art, good restaurants, or state history, my office has a number of resources available to make planning your trip easier. You may also request these items directly from the Travel Wisconsin website

Capitol Tours

There are free tours available in the state capitol year round, seven days a week. During the summer the sixth floor museum and observation deck are open to the public, offering incredible views of the city of Madison and of the isthmus. To learn more about arranging a tour of the capitol during your upcoming visit to Madison, please visit the capitol tours web page. For groups of ten or more, please call (608) 266-0382 to reserve your tour, or complete the online reservation form you will find on the web page.

Internship Opportunities

Many of the legislative staffers began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally. If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin State Senate can be a very rewarding experience. I encourage you to contact my office by filling out the Internship Application in the "Contact" tab if you are interested in applying.
