Cherry Starr Visits Green Bay!

October 23rd, 2021 will forever be remembered in Green Bay. I am very thankful to have been able to sponsor SB 101 known as renaming of the Walnut Street Bridge to the Bart Starr Memorial Bridge. It was great that Cherry Starr could join us for the ceremony, her legacy reminds strong in Green Bay.  I am very honored to have been a part of this amazing day and am thankful for everyone who has made this day perfect.

State Senate Committee Actions

I'm proud to sponsor SB 566 with Rep. Ron Tusler. It's crucial to update Wisconsin’s business entity laws which have been falling behind for too long and this bill does just that. Thank you to the members of the Wisconsin State Bar for testifying on this bill.

State Representative Joel Kitchens and I testified on our bill AB515 which reduces residency requirements for veterans wanting to go to school and work in Wisconsin. Our workforce shortage is only getting worse; we need to encourage people who are eager to learn and work to come to our state.

Representative Behnke and I testified on SB which is relating to stocking brook trout in Lake Michigan. This bill is apart of the Wisconsin Sporting Freedom Package.

Congressman Gallagher Visits the State Capitol

Congressman Mike Gallagher stopped by my office to chat about pressing issues in the 30th Senate District prior to testifying in front of the Senate Committee on Universities and Technical Colleges.

Brown County Homebuilders Breakfast

I was pleased to give my legislative update to the Brown County Homebuilder Association earlier this month. Construction industry is a huge impact in the 30th Senate District and I was proud to be invited to this event.

Department of Transportation Updates in the 30th Senate District

US 41/Country Meadows intersection construction complete in Marinette County

Safety improvement project finishes on time and on budget

(Marinette) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces completion of construction at the US 41 and Country Meadows intersection in Marinette County. The $166,000 project began Sept. 20 and finishes on time and on budget.

Construction included removing the median pavement crossing and left turn lanes, installing a raised median, storm sewer drains and concrete curb. The intersection is now restricted to right-in/right-out turning movements only. The project provides a safer intersection for the traveling public along US 41 and those that use the Country Meadows intersection by eliminating the possibility of left-turn crashes.

Peters Concrete Company of Green Bay, Wis. was the Prime Contractor. Upgrades to the railroad crossing on Country Meadows Road were conducted by the railroad owner.
