Senator Jamie Wall Sworn In, Will Serve on Three Committees

Green Bay WI — Last week, Senator Jamie Wall was officially sworn into his first term as Senator for Wisconsin’s 30th Senate District. The ceremony took place in the Wisconsin State Capitol’s Senate Chambers, where he joined five new members of the Senate Democratic Caucus.

“I’m honored to have taken the oath of office to represent the people of the 30th Senate District Wisconsin in the Capitol. I plan to work with my colleagues each and every day to bring common-sense solutions to the residents of Greater Green Bay.”

Senator Wall was appointed by Senate Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) to serve as the Ranking Member of the Committee on Insurance, Housing, Rural Issues and Forestry; and will also serve on the Joint Committee on Information Policy and Technology and the Joint Legislative Council. He has additionally been named to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Board, and to the Council on Workforce Investment.

“Serving on these committees is one of several ways I look forward to giving back to the communities that elected me. Over the course of the campaign, I heard from thousands of people about their unaddressed needs, and conversations that needed to be had in the Capitol- from lowering the cost of childcare to the lack of affordable housing. It’s clear that Northeastern Wisconsinites are ready for a productive legislative body that works for them, and I look forward to providing them with a rational voice in Madison.”

Wisconsin’s new 30th Senate District now includes Green Bay, Bellevue, Allouez, De Pere, and parts of Ledgeview and Rockland.
