New Berlin’s Richard Taczala Honored by Sen. Bradley with Forward28 Award
Veteran, Patriot, and Community Leader Recognized for Dedication to Service

(New Berlin) – Senator Julian Bradley (R – New Berlin) has awarded the Forward28 Award to Richard Taczala of New Berlin in recognition of his unwavering commitment to veterans’ causes in the community.

A proud Navy veteran who served in Vietnam, Mr. Taczala has continued his service to others long after leaving uniform. Whether it’s honoring fallen heroes as part of the VFW Honor Guard, raising thousands of dollars through poppy sales, or acting as an unofficial ambassador for the New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society, “Rick” has been a shining example of selfless patriotism

“Rick Taczala is the kind of citizen who makes Wisconsin stronger,” said Senator Bradley. “His commitment and dedication to the country, our community, and his fellow veterans is exactly what the Forward28 Award is about.”

Mr. Taczala currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society and is an active member of both the New Berlin V.F.W. and the community at large. He’s a regular participant in Flag Day, Memorial Day, and other ceremonies that ensure the sacrifice of veterans is never forgotten.
