Muskego’s Carol Jilek Honored by Sen. Bradley with Forward28 Award
Friends of the Muskego Library President Works to Promote Literacy & Learning
(Muskego) The “First Friday Coffee” welcomed special guest State Senator Julian Bradley to the library, but the monthly get-together’s focus was Carol Jilek, President of the Friends of the Muskego Library and a recipient of the Senator’s Forward28 Award. Under Ms. Jilek’s guidance, the Friends have raised essential funds that support educational and cultural programming for patrons of all ages – strengthening the library’s impact and deepening community connection.
“Carol is the kind of neighbor who makes Muskego and our region stronger,” said Senator Bradley. “Her tireless work to expand literacy and learning, support volunteers and library staff, and build a welcoming space for families is exactly what the Forward28 Award is about.”
Carol’s detailed planning, creativity, and heartfelt commitment have inspired both volunteers and staff, and created a positive community atmosphere. Her efforts have enhanced library resources and programs, and in turn enriched the lives of many of her neighbors in Muskego.
