Senate Scholars Program
This is an intensive week-long educational program that the State Senate offers to 33 high school juniors and senior from around Wisconsin each year. Each Senate Scholar receives a hands-on, up-close view of the Legislature's role in our democracy. Students will gain experience in policy development, constituent relations, and processing legislation by working with Senators, legislative staff, and University of Wisconsin faculty. Internships
Many of the legislative staffers, Representatives, and Senators began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally. If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin Legislature can be a very rewarding experience.
