Romaine's Biography

I was born and raised in Barron County, where I attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Rice Lake and graduated from Rice Lake High School. During my senior year of High School, I ran and was elected to the Rice Lake City Council. After serving for a year on the council, I was elected Mayor of Rice Lake at just 19 years old.

I am also a proud alum of UW - Eau Claire - Barron County, where I took classes while serving out my term as Mayor. After two years, I attended UW-Eau Claire, but ultimately obtained my bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Leadership from UW-Green Bay. As soon as I graduated in May of 2014, I jumped back into public service and launched my bid for the 75th Assembly District, a position that I held for 6 years.

Although I have accomplished much in my short 34 years, I consider marrying "the farmer's daughter" my biggest accomplishment yet. My wife Racquel and I look forward to raising our two sons right here, in northwest Wisconsin.
