Celebrating the Cooperative Spirit in Wisconsin
In Northern Wisconsin, cooperatives have been a vibrant part of our community for over a hundred years, demonstrating what we can do when we work together. That’s something worth celebrating!
You Can’t Get There From Here
I lived for a short while in Maine and often heard people, only half-jokingly, say “You can’t get there from here.” Unfortunately, for many of us in Northern Wisconsin, it’s getting to the point where it’s less of a joke and more of a truth.

With this development, Bayfield County will be in a better position to attract both employers and potential employees. Special thanks to Telecom cooperatives like Norvado and Mosaic, who are working so hard to bring much needed technology to rural communities.
PFFW Present Bewley with 2018 Legislator of the Year Award
Firefighters, paramedics, and first responders provide the safety net for every community in Wisconsin. I am proud to be able to support them in return. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

Wisdom

Cable TIF Bill Signed Into Law
Early last year, the group approached us to fill us in on their plans and asked for our help in drafting and passing legislation that that would allow the Town of Cable to create a tax incremental district (TIF). We were happy to work with them to get the bill passed.
Life Is Grand
Having a child is a bet on the future. Bringing a new life into the world is a statement that you believe that that tomorrow will be a better day, that there are things to learn, experiences to share, that love and hard work will pay off.
The Way It Ought To Be
It doesn’t happen often enough at the State Capitol, but it did this week. For at least one bill on one day, the legislative process worked the way that it is supposed to, the way that 4th graders across the state are told it works when they study Wisconsin Government.
Bewley Bill Passes Senate
In Northwestern Wisconsin, it is hard enough for small communities to recruit enough poll workers for Election Day. This bill will ease a burden on our local communities and I’m pleased to have worked with Representative Subeck to get this done.
Northern Wisconsin Comes to Madison
e’ve shown that the people of Northern Wisconsin can do more with less. We’ll keep fighting to keep more of our resources at home instead of sending them overseas.
