About Senator Patrick Testin

Sen. Patrick Testin grew up in small town Wisconsin and learned the value of hard work at a young age. During high school and college, he worked a number of jobs to fund his education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he was a leader in student government

After graduating in 2011 with a degree in political science, he pursued his interest in politics by working on campaigns, and was elected to serve as chairman of the Portage County Republican Party. Patrick then transitioned into a career in sales, and expanded his community involvement by joining the Elks Club and Ignite Leadership of Portage County, a group that prepares emerging leaders to make a positive difference in their community.

In 2016, the people of Central and Western Wisconsin elected Patrick to the Senate in the 24th District. This session, he has served in Senate leadership as the president pro tempore. This was his first session as chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor, Regulatory Reform, Veterans and Military Affairs and as a member of the budget-writing Joint Finance Committee. He also serves on the Senate Health Committee, Senate Agriculture and Tourism Committee, Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions and Joint Committee on Information Policy and Technology.

During his two terms in the Senate, Sen. Testin has focused on policies that support public safety, veterans and military members, rural access to healthcare, local government, the agriculture industry and the state’s workforce.

Patrick and his wife, Hannah, live in Portage County with their two dogs, Reilly and Sage.
