Wirch Supports Public Health Protections and Business Flexibility in “Safer at Home” Extension

Kenosha – State Senator Bob Wirch (D-Somers) issued the following statement in support of Governor Evers’s extended and revised “Safer at Home” order:

“These are difficult times for everyone in our communities.  I believe that Governor Evers and Secretary-Designee Palm are taking a smart but cautious approach to both preserve public health and safety and give businesses some increased flexibility.  I am deeply concerned about the 375 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths in Kenosha and Racine Counties, and the actual numbers are likely higher.  We need to act now to control the spread and protect all of us, including our more vulnerable residents.  We also want to see businesses thrive again, and I look forward to a full reopening as soon as it can be done safely.”
