Wishing You and Your Family a Blessed Christmas

As we prepare for Christmas, it is easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of this busy time. In the midst of the planning, shopping and traveling, I hope we can all take time to focus on what Christmas is truly about - the birth of our Savior.

As I look forward to celebrating with family and friends this week, I am deeply grateful for all that I have (not just gifts under the tree). From my family to yours, we wish you a Christmas season filled with warmth and love, and a joyous New Year!
 
 

App Factory


 
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to visit UW Parkside App Factory and visit their "Innovation Corridor." It was great visiting with the students and seeing the impressive projects they are coming up with.

Thank you to Chancellor Debbie Ford and App Factory Director Timothy Knautz for giving me an inside look at the operation. I can't wait to see what innovations come from these bright minds in the future.
 

Welcome REAL School

We recently got a visit from the Business and Personal Law class from the REAL School in Racine. It is always wonderful to have students visit from the district. I hope you enjoyed your tour and the beautiful Capitol Christmas tree, REAL School. Come back again soon!
 

Around the District

On Tuesday, December 19, I enjoyed spending time with this fantastic group of 3rd grade students. During the visit, I had a great time reading a story to the kids, and playing Christmas Bingo together!

On Thursday, December 15, I went down to the Mount Pleasant Police Department to complete my HR218 re-certification. Always great to see all the good folks down there- especially Range Master Nicholas Seeger (pictured above).
