The Capitol Centennial Open House
On Thursday, November 9, the State Capitol staff will be hosting a special open house for members of the public to visit offices and see areas of the building typically excluded from the official Capitol tours. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors from the 20th Senate District are encouraged to stop by Room 18 South to see our office and meet the staff.
The various attractions and features of the open house will include the following:
- A first floor display of the winning pieces from the 100th Anniversary Art & Essay Contest
- Self-guided tours
- Historic slide shows in rooms 411 South and 412 East
- Opportunities to see the Assembly and Senate Chambers, the Governor’s Conference Room, the North Hearing Room, and the Supreme Court
