Intern with Me
A legislative internship at the Capitol is an excellent way to gain valuable real life experience about the everyday operations of the Wisconsin State Legislature and the state's legislative process. This internship is a wonderful opportunity for both students and recent graduates.
Intern learning opportunities vary, but include:
- Policy research
- Summarizing proposed legislation
- Responding to constituent inquiries
- Assisting with office operations
- ...and more!
Interns may also have opportunities to attend session days, sit in on committee meetings, and participate in in-district events.
Applicants must work during normal business hours of Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm, and dedicate at least 10 hours each week to the internship. The internship can take place at the Capitol in Madison, or at our in-district office in Appleton. Internship opportunities may vary depending on location.
