Senator Howard Marklein and Representative Travis Tranel to Host Listening Session in Platteville

DATE:           Saturday, January 14, 2017

1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – UW Platteville Campus - Nohr Gallery, Ullsvik Hall; 1 University Plaza, Platteville

State Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) will be hosting a Legislative Listening Session on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Sen. Marklein has scheduled a series of 10 listening sessions throughout the 17th Senate District.  Representative Travis Tranel (R-Cuba City) will be joining him for the listening session in Platteville.

“As the new legislative session begins this week, I am seeking the input and ideas of the residents of the 17th Senate District,” Marklein said. “Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend to share your ideas.”

The format for the listening sessions is designed so that every attendee has equal time to share their ideas and thoughts in a respectful environment.  Depending on the number of attendees, participants may be asked to sign-up for a three minute time slot to be certain to give as many attendees the chance to speak as possible.  Legislative staff will be on hand to coordinate each listening session to maximize audience participation and input.

Residents who are unable to attend are encouraged to share their input and ideas directly with Sen. Marklein at 800-978-8008, Sen.Marklein@legis.wisconsin.gov or PO Box 7882, Madison, WI 53707.
