Sen. Howard Marklein Congratulates Fellow JFC Co-Chair
Madison, WI – Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) released a statement following the announcement by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos appointing Rep. Mark Born (R-Beaver Dam) to Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC).
“I am looking forward to serving with Representative Born as co-chair of the JFC. We are both past members of the committee who are assuming leadership roles with the shared goals of stewarding taxpayer dollars while funding our priorities.
I would like to thank Rep. John Nygren for his service, leadership and friendship over the last several budgets. His expertise will be missed.”
Marklein represents the 17th Senate District in southwest Wisconsin. He was elected to the Assembly in 2010 and 2012. He was elected to the Senate in 2014 and 2018 and has served as a member of the JFC since 2014.
