Sen. Howard Marklein Applauds Senate Appointments to Joint Committee on Finance

Madison, WI – Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) released a statement following the announcement by incoming Senate Majority Leader, Sen. Devin LeMahieu (R-Oostburg) appointing members to the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC).

“Sen. LeMahieu’s appointments to the Joint Finance Committee will bring a breadth of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives to this important committee. We have representation from every part of the state; from up north to southeastern Wisconsin and communities in between.

We have members who have years of service on this committee and others who will bring a fresh perspective.

As co-chair, I am excited to work with this new team of my colleagues.  We have a challenging budget ahead, but I know that they are ready to get to work for the people of Wisconsin.”

Marklein represents the 17th Senate District in southwest Wisconsin. He was elected to the Assembly in 2010 and 2012. He was elected to the Senate in 2014 and 2018 and has served as a member of the JFC since 2014.
