More than 20 business leaders and community members attended the lunch at Karla’s Kitchen in Lancaster. Marklein and Tranel were invited to provide a legislative update and review of the legislative session which ended on March 15, 2016.  Marklein and Tranel also fielded questions, sought input and gathered ideas for the next legislative session.

“The majority of productive legislative work comes from the direct experiences and challenges experienced by individuals and businesses in our communities,” Marklein said. “It is extremely important for local businesses to work with legislators to improve the economic environment of our communities, remove obstacles and update state laws so that businesses can grow.”

“I am honored to have been invited to meet with the business and community leaders in Lancaster who took time out of their work day to learn more about the legislative accomplishments of the past session, while making connections for the future,” Marklein said. “Strong relationships among government and industry help our communities to grow and I look forward to continuing build these connections.”
