Sen. Howard Marklein Statement on Middle-Class Tax Cut

Madison, WI – Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) offered the following statement regarding the legislature’s plan to introduce a Middle-Class Tax Cut bill:
 
“Throughout the last several months, the legislature heard Governor Evers talk about a tax cut for Middle Class workers in Wisconsin. The legislation we are working on will help him to deliver on this promise and provide tax relief to middle income earners throughout the state,” Marklein said.
 
“While we are still working out the details, our tax cut will be good tax policy that will cut taxes,” Marklein said. “However, the Legislative Fiscal Bureau will be releasing new fiscal estimates next week and we will need to consider this data as we move forward.”
 
“I will continue to work with my colleagues in both the Senate and the Assembly to construct Middle-Class Tax Cut legislation that is good policy and positive for the people we serve.”
