Senator Marklein Receives WCA Outstanding Legislator Award

State Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) was honored this week by the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) with a WCA Outstanding Legislator Award for his work on behalf of county government during the 2017-2018 Legislative Session.

“We are grateful to Senator Marklein for his leadership on county issues and for his partnership with local officials,” said WCA Executive Director Mark D. O’Connell. “We are proud to present him with this award and he is a shining example of what a ‘WCA Outstanding Legislator’ means to our organization and our membership.”

The WCA Outstanding Legislator Award is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation and the state budget.

WCA represents the interests of county government both on the state and federal levels and is located in Madison, Wisconsin. For more information, visit www.wicounties.org. You can find the association on Facebook and Twitter (@WisCounties) as well.
