Sen. Howard Marklein and Rep. Tony Kurtz to announce Disaster Assistance Streamlining Bill on anniversary of historic flooding
 

MADISON— State Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) and State Representative Tony Kurtz (R-Wonewoc) will be holding a press conference to announce their Disaster Assistance Streamlining Bill on the anniversary of the 2018 flood that widely impacted communities in their districts.
 
Several municipal leaders have been invited to participate and may be available for comment.

The legislation to be announced on 8/29/19 is in response to challenges experienced by several communities impacted by the flooding last year including the Town of LaValle, Village of Glendale, Village of Wonewoc, the City of Reedsburg and many others throughout the 50th and 17th districts. Full content and intended results of this legislation will be discussed at the press conference.
