Hit the Ground Running

Oath of Office

I would like to begin by thanking everyone who voted for me to fill the spot vacated by Scott Fitzgerald as the Senator for the 13th Senate District. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent our area and interests in Madison. I have been assigned to the following committees:

  • Senate Committee on Education
  • Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Revenue (which I will serve on as vice-chair)
  • Senate Committee on Housing, Commerce and Trade (which I will Chair)
  • Senate Committee on Insurance, Licensing and Forestry
  • Senate Committee on Sporting Heritage, Small Business and Rural Issues

We are wasting no time in the Senate! In addition to my committee obligations, my staff and I are working on updating my website and social media, planning budget listening sessions, and, of course, resuming our E-updates!

This is your opportunity to come and tell me what your priorities are for the biennial budget. I hope to see you there!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

With the stress and isolation of the COVID pandemic, doctors report seeing an increase in depression and other mental health disorders. Please click on the blue links to be redirected to the National Alliance on Mental Illness or the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Both of these organizations offer information on mental illness, treatment and community resources.
