Legislative Update

Yesterday Governor Evers signed two bills I worked on this session into law.

Assembly Bill 117 deals with building permit applications for single and two-family dwellings. It streamlines the process so builders can get to work more quickly.

AB 54 allows school administrators to tell teachers when fire drills will take place. For teachers in special needs classrooms not knowing when a fire drill will take place causes particular difficulties. Many districts have been technically violating the law for that reason, but now they will have the option.

I look forward to continuing to work together to move Wisconsin Forward.

Resources for Deer Hunters

Hunters.jpg

I want to wish everyone a safe and successful hunt. Over half a million hunters are expected to take part in the nine-day gun deer season that runs from November 23rd until December 1st. Just a reminder that all hunters must register their deer either in person, online or by phone by 5:00 P.M. the day after the hunt. There are also sampling areas for deer to be tested for Chronic Wasting Disease.
