Madison– This week the list of committee assignments for the State Assembly was released by Assembly Leadership. State Representative John Jagler (R-Watertown) will be serving as the chair of the Assembly Housing and Real Estate committee for the 2015-16 legislative session.

"Sales of new and existing homes are on the rise and are often representative of the state’s economy as a whole. According to the Wisconsin Builders Association every new home that is built translates into three full time jobs," said Jagler. "I look forward to working with the home building and real estate industries to help further the Wisconsin comeback."

Jagler will also be serving as the Vice-Chair of the newly established Assembly Committee on Mental Health Reform next session. "This new committee will allow us to build on what we started last session with the Speakers Task Force on Mental Health," Jagler said. "There is a lot to be done in this area; I intend to work closely with the committee chairman to reform our state’s mental health system throughout the upcoming session."

Rep. Jagler has also been appointed to the Assembly committees on Constitution and Ethics,

Education, and Insurance for the upcoming session
