Madison – Representative John Jagler (R-Watertown) commended today’s announcement that Assembly Speaker Robin Vos will create a select committee to review Common Core State Standards and provide recommendations on future implementation.

The Common Core Standards were adopted by the State Superintendent in 2010 with little input from the Legislature and public,” Jagler said. “Many constituents have contacted me with concerns about the implementation of these standards, which will potentially affect education throughout Wisconsin for generations. It’s clear that we need to take a much closer look at this issue. I am confident that this committee will do so.”
