Columbus – Today Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) presented Representative John Jagler (R-Watertown) with the “Working for Wisconsin” award for his support of pro-business legislation during the 2013-2014 legislative session. Jagler accepted the award at Columbus Chemical Industries while on site to tour the facility and meet with the company’s employees.

“It is a great honor to receive this award from WMC,” said Jagler. “Over the last session my colleagues and I worked very hard to make Wisconsin a great place to do business. From providing sweeping tax cuts to removing unnecessary red tape, we consistently focused on strengthening our state’s economy. I look forward to keeping this momentum going into the next session,” Jagler said.

The award recognizes legislators who promoted pro-growth policies over the course of the 2013-14 legislative session. Rep. Jagler scored 100% on WMC’s “How They Voted” scorecard for pro-business votes last session. This year Rep. Jagler was also named as the Wisconsin Builders Association's 2014 “Friend of Housing” Legislator of the Year and a “Champion of Commerce” by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC).

“Representative Jagler’s visionary support for pro-growth, job-creating policies is contributing to the economic revival of Wisconsin,” said Eric Bott, Director of Environmental & Energy Policy for WMC. “His votes in favor of tax cuts, regulatory relief and other reforms are putting more money back in the pockets of hard working Wisconsinites and helping our businesses to expand and hire.”
