On Monday, Inaugurations were held at the Wisconsin State Capitol and I was sworn in for my fourth term. It was a joy to see the newly elected representatives be sworn in for the first time – I remember the excitement and nervousness I felt at the enormous responsibility of representing our District. It is an honor to continue to serve you, and I am grateful for the trust that has been given to me to be your voice in Madison.
Moving Forward Together
Yesterday, the Assembly sent a letter to Governor Evers, outlining our desire to work together on issues he prioritized during his campaign. They include things like lowering income taxes, ensuring that insurances cover pre-existing conditions, supporting education, and investing in our infrastructure.
In our past session, over 90 percent of bills passed with bipartisan support. We work together more often than the media would have you believe. We will work with Governor Evers on the areas we have common ground because, in the end, we all want what is best for Wisconsin.
