Dairy Farmer Resources

Several dairy farms in our district are being threatened by a trade dispute taking place outside our state – I want you to know Senator Fitzgerald and I have been in contact about this and are monitoring the situation for any developments. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protections (DATCP) is offering a number of resources for those who have lost a processor. The number for the Farm Center is 1-800-942-2474; click here for more information.

Safe at Home Program Now Available

An estimated out of three women will experience domestic violence, an estimated 15 percent of women and 6 percent of men will be victims of stalking at some point in their lives. But now victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking can now enroll in a program that provides a legal substitute address and free mail forwarding service. This service is designed to make every day activities that most of take for granted easier by allowing victims to pay bills, get letters from loved ones and received work information while keeping their living address confidential. Enrollees must first set up a safety plan with a trained victim service provider, click here to learn more about the program.
