Senator Steve Nass Reappointed Chairman of Two Senate Committees

Committee-2.jpg

Senator Steve Nass (R-Whitewater) was reappointed by Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald as the Co-Chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor and Regulatory Reform.  Both of these committees have played prominent roles in the implementation of key Republican reforms over the last four years.

I appreciate the confidence that Senate Majority Leader Fitzgerald has in my abilities to serve in these important capacities during the 2019-2020 session.  Both of these committees will be at the frontline in addressing major issues relating to administrative rules, labor and regulatory reforms.

There will likely be significant challenges relating to administrative rules and labor policy between the legislature and the new administration.  The legislature will continue to prioritize the best interests of individuals and small businesses over the desires of Madison bureaucrats.

Protecting individual freedoms and bolstering economic prosperity for the people of Wisconsin must be the top priority of state government.  I stand ready to work with anyone that shares these objectives, but will also be prepared to fight any proposals taking us backwards to the horrible days of union bosses and liberal Madison bureaucrats controlling the state.
