Statement on Today’s Failure to Support Middle Class Families

MADISON – The following is a statement from Senate Democratic Leader Chris Larson on today’s legislative session.

“After months of clamoring that they were the party of job creation, it’s puzzling that the first bill taken up by Senate Republicans missed the target by focusing on the timeline on which the Legislative Reference Bureau must publish signed legislation. How does a partisan bill about legislation publication help create jobs now for Wisconsin’s middle class families?

“Wisconsin’s middle class families are desperate for us to take their strife seriously and help spur job creation now. Changing the way laws are published doesn’t create jobs and should not have been the first item addressed by the Senate.”
