Larson Ready and Willing to Meet with Governor, Senate Republicans

Madison - Sen. Chris Larson (D–Milwaukee) released the following statement calling for a compromise on the Budget Adjustment Bill, which launched an unprecedented attack on the rights of Wisconsin’s workers.

“Democratic State Senators, including myself, are ready and willing to meet with the governor and Senate Republicans near the Wisconsin-Illinois border to reach a compromise on this legislation. We have been committed to negotiating the terms of the Budget Adjustment Bill for the past three weeks and our dedication to reaching a positive outcome for our state remains steadfast.

Wisconsinites are overwhelmingly supportive of both sides arriving at a bipartisan compromise. Therefore, I urge the governor and Senate Republicans to work with us to come to an agreement that will keep our state moving forward.”
