Wisconsin Loses Strong Advocate for Wisconsin Families

MADISON – The following is a statement from state Senator Chris Larson on the tragic loss of former state Representative Tamara Grigsby.

“This week, Wisconsin lost a relentless advocate and fighter for our middle class, and those struggling to get into the middle class. Throughout her career, including her time as a state Representative, Tamara worked tirelessly to improve the lives of our neighbors. She was steadfast in ensuring that all of our children and families were given an equal opportunity to walk a path of prosperity.

“Tamara was also a leader in access to public transit services. I first met Tamara when we worked together to secure a dedicated funding source for public transit. As a strong believer in representing the views of the community, Tamara spearheaded efforts at the state level to ensure strong, adequately funded transit system.

“This type of persistent, passionate leadership is something that I try and strive for – as all elected officials should. Her dedication and commitment to making Wisconsin the best state to live and raise a family will be deeply missed. My sincerest condolences go out to Tamara’s family and friends.”
