Reaction to Governor's Budget Address

MADISON – In reaction to Gov. Tony Evers’ budget address tonight, Sen. Rob Hutton (R-Brookfield) issued the following statement:

“Governor Evers’ proposal makes an effort to tackle some of the many challenges facing Wisconsin, but at the end of the day it’s simply a list of ideas that the Legislature will consider in the weeks ahead.

“I look forward to reviewing the Governor’s ideas and working with my Republican colleagues to build a budget with the understanding that today’s surplus is temporary. Legislative Republicans will craft a responsible spending plan that Wisconsin taxpayers can afford over the long term.”
