Sen. Taylor to host Senate District 4 National Night Out Aug. 2

(MADISON) – National Night Out is an effort to promote involvement in police-community partnerships, to improve crime prevention and to create greater neighborhood unity. Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) is hosting one of approximately 16,000 National Night out events in America. More than 37 million people across the nation are anticipated to participate in Tuesday’s event.

This year’s theme is “Celebrate a True Sense of Community." Senate District 4’s National Night Out will include food, live music, games, and a community resource fair. The Milwaukee Fire Department will demonstrate the Survive Alive House with a special visit by McGruff the Crime Dog. Enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun and stay for the movie to be shown later in the evening.

The event will take place in the Blatz pavilion at Lincoln Park, 1301 W Hampton Ave, on Tuesday August 2nd from 4-8pm and is free of charge. Because this is a free event, help us plan for food by confirming attendance on our Facebook event!
