Sen. Lena Taylor Hosts Youth Council Summit

(MADISON) – Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) will host a youth council summit on August 1, 2016 at the Barack Obama High School of Career and Technical Education from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.  The students on the council will engage in conversation on a number of timely issues, including youth violence and incarceration rates. They will also discuss police-community relations, as well as car jacking and car theft.

All high-school aged youth are welcome and encouraged to come to this event and contribute their input on these important issues. Pizza and refreshments will be served. The event is free of charge.  Senator Taylor is partnering for this event with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, X-Men United, Voices of a Fatherless Child, and 100 White Dresses. The event is open to the media.
