Signs will help visitors get to historic attraction.
Madison – Today State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) joined the St. Josaphat Basilica Foundation in thanking Governor Scott Walker for signing into law to a bill to add signs on I-94 directing visitors to the St. Josaphat Basilica.
The cost of the signage will be covered by donations.
“At the request of the Basilica of St. Josaphat I was pleased to introduce legislation to install up the signs to help visitors make their way to one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in our district. I was pleased that this bill passed with bi-partisan support in recognition of one of our districts beautiful historical sites,” said Carpenter.
Senator Carpenter thanked Sen. Paul Farrow for his instrumental assistance in making sure that the bill passed with bi-partisan support. Sen. Carpenter also thanked Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa for introducing companion legislation in the Assembly.
“One of the many happy parts of my job is to promote our great district, and I hope this will make it easier for tourists to get to concerts, tours, and other events at St. Josaphat,” said Carpenter.
