Senator Carpenter authored resolution after Pope Francis announced visit.
Madison – Today State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) thanked his senate colleagues for passing a resolution he authored honoring Pope Francis and welcoming him to his visit to United States this month and addressing a joint session of the United States Congress.
Pope Francis’ visit to the United States of America is a cause for joy. Since being elected pope, Francis has continually brought to the forefront issues that are affecting the poor and disenfranchised. Pope Francis has also set a charitable tone and inclusive example that peoples of all faiths can embrace.
